Where is the Manhattan Table produced?
The Table is manufactured in a small woodworking shop in Stockholm, Sweden. Precision, knowledge and skills are key elements in the production of this special piece of furniture.

Is it ECO friendly?
Yes, we purchase our wood from a certified dealer with a third-party forest certification. This ensures good forest management through independent auditors issuing the certificates only to forest operations that comply with their standards. The actual production of the table is done on a small scale and we never use toxic materials or anything else harmful to the environment.

What kind of wood do you use?
We use solid mahogany in our tables. Mahogany has a straight, fine and even grain, and is relatively free of voids and pockets. Its reddish-brown color darkens over time, and displays a reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability, and is very durable. Historically, the tree's girth allowed for wide boards from traditional mahogany species. These properties make it a favorable wood for crafting cabinets and furniture.

Much of the first-quality furniture made in the American colonies from the mid- 18th century was made of mahogany, when the wood first became available to American craftsmen. Mahogany is still widely used for fine furniture. Mahogany also resists wood rot, making it attractive in boat construction. It is also often used for musical instruments, particularly the backs, sides and necks of acoustic guitars and drum shells because of its ability to produce a very deep, warm tone compared to other commonly used woods.

Does the table come with a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes, every table is unique, laser signed, numbered and followed by a Certificate of Authenticity. You will have the satisfaction of owning a piece of art furniture that will last for generations.
